Educational Background:
Jeanie's roots in Southeastern Ontario run as deep as her dedication to life-long learning. After completing Secondary School in Napanee, she went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree from Queen's University in 1977. Jeanie's commitment to serving her clients is evident by her achievement of earning her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) license from the Financial Planning Standards Council.
Jeanie has also successfully completed her Mutual Fund and Labour Sponsored Investments Funds License with the
Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC) as well as The Canadian Securities Course, Life and Sickness and Accident
Insurance licensing requirements and her Certificate in Financial Planning through the Canadian Institute of Financial
Planners. She's a member of CAIFA (Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors) and has most recently
completed her Chartered Life Underwriters designation.
Career:
Jeanie joined the Bank of Montreal in 1977, accepting increasing responsibilities in Peterborough, Pickering and Kingston before rising to the position of Senior Financial Service Manager. In the fall of 1998, Jeannie realized her personal goal of becoming an independent financial advisor by building on her successful career in the banking industry.
Jeanie believes that every individual, regardless of their age or occupation, can improve their quality of life by participating in the financial planning process. As a professional planner she can help bring all aspects of a person's financial picture into focus, providing a comprehensive plan for success, enabling them to concentrate on those things in life that bring them pleasure. Her motto is plan for tomorrow, but live for today. Jeanie's knowledge and skills are enhanced by those of the professional team of advisors at IPG downtown Kingston - allowing her to provide her clients with the best possible advice and customer service.
Personal Background:
Jeanie lives at Jones Falls with her husband Nicholas and lively Labrador retriever, Echo. She is sponsor and past board member of the Rideau Waterway Land Trust, which is dedicated to preserving lands along the Rideau Canal for the enjoyment of future generations. Jeanie also lends her time to fund raising for the Canadian Cancer Society and the Canadian Kidney Foundation. In her leisure hours, Jeanie enjoys reading, curling and long walks on their rural property.
